The Revolutions of Capitalism is a series of diagrammatic drawings that underscores some of the big and small innovations in design that have sought to make contemporary life more efficient and productive. Mechanically drawn with ink on stone paper, each diagram focuses on a particular idea - from the introduction of express lanes at supermarket checkouts and the adoption of a broom formation at airport security to the design of an industrial potato peeler - that has transformed, for better or worse, the shape of everyday life.
